      Whitehouse roared into the regional quarterfinals Tuesday, and avenged last year's area loss to Richardson Pearce in the process. WH takes 2nd in tournament
      The Whitehouse varsity baseball team competed in the Lufkin Hudson tourney last week at Central High School. In the first game on Friday, the Wildcats defeated Silsbee 17-3 pounding out 19 hits. Grant Brandon got the win on the hill for the Wildcats.

      Registration for Troup Little League baseball and softball has been extended through Saturday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Baseball Complex.

Wildcat JV competes in Longview tourney
      The Whitehouse JV "A" baseball team was in action last weekend in the Longview tournament. The Wildcats played their first game on Friday in the bitter cold but provided some firepower at the plate to produce a 10-1 win. Justin Haney worked the mound for the Cats picking up the win.

Tigers take wins over T.K. Gorman, Palestine Westwood
      Austin Braswell had 13 strikeouts in leading Troup to a 6-2 win over T.K. Gorman Tuesday. Braswell, Cody Deese and Nick Reeves each had two hits for the Tigers. The Tigers also claimed a win over Palestine Westwood last week. Braswell pitched six innings in the 9-3 victory.
