Parkinsonians of East Texas meeting

Parkinsonians of East Texas will meet Thursday, Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. at East Texas Medical Center Pavilion, 801 Clinic Dr., Tyler. The speaker will be Francis "Toni" Dowdy of ETMC EAP Coordinator/Behavioral Health Center. The topic will be dealing with depression and Parkinsons Disease. Parking is free for the meeting.

AARP Tax-Aide available Friday

Free tax return preparation service for low and middle income taxpayers, especially those age 60 and over is offered Friday, Feb. 29 from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Whitehouse YMCA, 301 Terry St. Contact Jim Novy at 903-581-1809 for information.

Baptist Forerunners meet

The Forerunners, senior adults of First Baptist Church of Troup, will meet for a noon covered dish luncheon Monday, March 3. Marvin Beaty, superintendent of Troup ISD will bring the program.

Outdoor warning system test

The City of Whitehouse test the outdoor warning siren system the first Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. Should there be inclement weather the testing will be postponed to the following month.

Dixie Masonic Lodge to meet

The Dixie Masonic Lodge #272 in Troup will meet Tuesday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m. at the lodge hall.

Troup American Legion to meet

Troup American Legion will meet Tuesday, March 4 at 6 p.m. at the legion hall.

Game Time for Seniors

Game Time for Senior Citizens will be Wednesday, March 5 from 1-3 p.m. at the Troup library. All senior citizens are welcome to attend.

Troup Sons of the Legion will meet Thursday, March 6 at 6 p.m. at the legion hall.

Scrapbooking night rescheduled

For the month of March, the scrapbooking event at the WH library is rescheduled for Friday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. On hand will be a consultant demonstrating digital scrapbooking. The class is free.

YMCA holds dance

The Whitehouse YMCA will hold a country and western dance for ages 18 and up on Friday, March 7, 7-10 p.m. $3 per single and $5 per couple. Call 903-839-9622 for more information.

Bluegrass gospel music at Mixon

Mixon Missionary Baptist Church is hosting Bluegrass Gospel Music and supper on Saturday, March 1. Supper starts at 4:30 p.m. followed by the music at 6. Call Ms. Kirby 903-842- 4774 for more information.
