Family weekend on tap at Four Winds Faire

Four Winds Renaissance Faire opens Saturday to celebrate unparalleled festival entertainment.

Minstrels, magicians, pirates, jugglers, belly dancers, and costumed characters await visitors at the 17th century Renaissance village.

The festival runs eight weekends through April 20. Each weekend features its own theme, with March 1-2 titled "Family Adventure."

For the young at heart there will be a knighting ceremony, pony rides, crow's nest ride, joust a'bout ride, royal maze, fairy wishing well, magicians and games of skill and chance. This weekend only, one child 12 or under will be admitted free with each paid adult.

Gates open rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children (5-12). Season passes are available for $30 for adults and $15 for children.
