Fay Ann Martin

Funeral services for Fay Ann Martin, 76, of Concord community near Troup, were held Feb. 23, at the Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Duane Dougherty officiating.

Burial was in the Concord cemetery under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mrs. Martin died Feb. 21, 2008 at her residence.

She was born May 20, 1931 in Trinity County to the late Sam Jones Martin and Oda Campbell Martin. She attended Carlisle High School and was a secretary at Nan Travis Hospital, Jacksonville, for 30 years.

She married Russell Martin June 28, 1947 in Concord. She had been a member of the Concord Cumberland Presbyterian Church since her marriage.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Russell Martin, Concord; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry Russell and Sheree Martin, Price; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Fay and Cliff Reisor, Greenville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Opal and Hubert Martin, Goodsprings and Patsy and Gene Keith, Canton; grandchildren and their spouses, John Rogers Cohagen, Jr. and his wife,Stacy, Hallsville, Heather Martin Davis and her husband, Todd, Henry's chapel, Heath Martin and his wife, Dorian, Price; great grandchildren, Holden Cohagen, Hallsville and Brooklyn Davis, Henry's Chapel;

The pallbearers were Kenny Martin, Dean Martin, Wayne Martin, Randall Martin, Charlie Mahaffey, Sam Martin, Clois Martin, and Michael House.
