Charles F. Campbell Lillian Linkinhoker Campbell Services celebrating the lives of Charles F. 'Chuck' Campbell, 84, and Lillian Linkinhoker Campbell, 75, both of Tyler, were held Feb. 23 at the Union Grove cemetery in Troup, with Rob Phillips officiating. Chuck was born Dec. 21, 1923 in Cleburne to the late Charles Franklin Campbell and Merle Billingsley Campbell. Lillian was born July 4, 1932 in Cherokee County to the late Morris D. Linkinhoker and Betty Eva Womack Linkinhoker Johnson. Formerly of Troup, they both lived in Tyler for the past 35 years. Chuck was retired from the United States military after 20 years of service in the Marines and Army. He was also a retired peace officer and had worked for the Tyler Junior College Campus Police, Smith County Sheriff's Deputy and as a bailiff for Judge Randall Rogers Court. Lillian was retired from Montgomery Wards as a credit supervisor, a member of the Red Hat Society and a loan officer for the Teachers Credit Union. Both were members of the Southern Oaks Baptist Church and volunteered at area hospitals. Survivors include children, Deborah S. Jordan and husband Mike of Troup; James Allen Terry and wife Kathy of Troup and Michael D. Campbell and wife Joyce of Arp. Mrs. Campbell is survived by four brothers, two sisters and a large number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; she has two grandchildren, Megan Nicole Terry and J.T. Terry. Mr. Campbell has five grandchildren, Megan Nicole Terry, J.T. Terry, Ronnie, Randy and Kimberly Campbell. Memorials may be made to the Southern Oaks Baptist Church Building Fund, 601 E.
