Doris Mager from Clyde, N.C., spoke to the students of Troup Elementary School recently. She brought several types of birds of prey to show the students. All the birds were "rescued" birds including injured birds and birds taken from the wild to become pets. Doris has rehabilitated over 80 eagles and returned 15 to the wild. Pictured with Mager (above) and TES dean of students Melanie Johnson is a great horned owl.
