Community Activities Troup Sons of the Legion to meet Troup Sons of the Legion will meet Thursday, March 6 at 6 p.m. at the legion hall.

Scrapbooking night rescheduled

For the month of March, the scrapbooking event at the WH library is rescheduled for Friday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. On hand will be a consultant demonstrating digital scrapbooking. The class is free.

YMCA holds dance

The Whitehouse YMCA will hold a country and western dance for ages 18 and up on Friday, March 7, 7-10 p.m. $3 per single and $5 per couple. Call 903-839-9622 for more information.

WWCL Easter Egg Hunt set

The Whitehouse Women's Civic League will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt in City Park on Saturday, March 8 at 11 a.m. Children up through third grade will have the opportunity to scavenger for hundreds of eggs including special eggs that will win them a prize basket. There will also be a drawing for live chicks and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Henry Marsh Bell Masonic Lodge meeting

Henry Marsh Bell Masonic Lodge #1371 will meet Monday, March 10 at 7 p.m. at the lodge hall. All Masonic Brothers are welcome to attend.

Troup American Legion Auxiliary to meet

Troup American Legion Auxiliary will meet Tuesday, March 11 at 6 p.m. at the legion hall.

Fibromyalgia group to meet

The Tyler Area Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Rheumatic Illness Support Group will meet Tuesday, March 11 at 1 pm. The meeting will be held at First Christian Church (corner of S. AARP Tax-Aide available Friday

Free tax return preparation service for low and middle income taxpayers, especially those age 60 and over is offered Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Whitehouse YMCA, 301 Terry St. Contact Jim Novy at 903-581-1809 for information.

Whitehouse library activities

WH Recycle Center

Regular hours of operation for the Whitehouse Recycle Center are on Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave.

Women's health seminar offered

"Finding Balance" is a seminar on women's health issues begin offered free of charge on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. at Health Plus, 2010 Sybil Ln., Tyler. Facilitator is Brenda Flowers RN.

Government Activities School Activities Shattered Dreams meeting tonight Parents and students interested in participating in the upcoming Shattered Dreams program are invited to attend an informational meeting Thursday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. in the lecture hall at Whitehouse High School. Unique in its design and powerful in its impact, Shattered Dreams is an educational experience that reminds us all of the dangers associated with drinking and driving. Applications for the program will be available at the meeting and in the counseling office March 7-13.

Troup ISD trustees meet Monday, March 10 at 6:30 at the Troup ISD Administration Office at 201 N. Carolina.

Troup City Council to meet

The regular monthly meeting of the Troup City Council is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11. The meeting will be held at the Troup ISD Administration Office at 201 N. Carolina.
