Whitehouse's Dr. White retiring
Although he knew of Leisch through a mutual contact in the dental trade, White feels there was more at work in bringing the two together. "We discussed early on that this really was an answer to each others' prayers," said White. "I think divine leadership was involved, more so than a secular business connection." For White, who is taking early retirement due in part to health reasons, it was important to find someone he felt comfortable with and could trust to take good care of his patients and team members. For Leisch, who has been working in Palestine for the last eight months, it was the chance to have his own practice, as well as be closer to home. A native of Tyler, Leisch graduated from Texas A&M and Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas in May of 2007. White has a similar background. He is also a native of Tyler and received his education from TJC, Texas A&M and Baylor College of Medicine. He worked three years in Tyler before opening his office in Whitehouse. He was a charter member of the Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce.
Drs. White and Leisch signed the papers last Thursday and the office closed Friday so a computer system and digital equipment could be installed. With the staff staying the same, the only sign ificant change will be that Leisch will offer some services that weren't available before. White's plans include spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. He said it was an honor to have served his patients and to treat generations of Whitehouse families. |
