Dance team wins awards
Golden Girls get sweepstakes

Dance-N-Drill is pleased to announce their results from the Danceline USA Competition held at Quinlan Ford High School on Feb. 16. Fifteen of their 16 entries received first division ratings.

The Tyler Golden Girls were awarded a sweepstakes trophy and judges awards for Outstanding Costumes (military routine) and Outstanding Entertainment (officer routine).

In the junior division, Officer Abigail Massey received second place overall for her solo. Lindsey Stein and Elise Bower also placed second overall for their duet routine.

The Tyler Golden Girls are a 40-member dance team comprised of seventh through ninth grade girls from 12 area schools. They are directed by Lynn Ramey and Renee Allen.

Team members from Whitehouse are Marlee Clark, Julie Moore, Carly Netherland and April Fleming.
