Contested races on tap for WH, Troup

The filing period for local city and school elections ended Monday, with both Troup ISD and the City of Whitehouse having one opposed race.

In Troup, Keith Lindsey and Kevin Martin are vying for Place 3 on the Troup school board. In Whitehouse, Jeremy McEuen and current council member Danny Hogden are running for mayor.

For Whitehouse ISD, all races are unopposed at this time. The cancellation of the election will be on the April 7 agenda for board approval.
