Twaleshia Jones

Services for Twaleshia Jones, 17, of Troup were held March 7 at Mary Memorial Church of God in Christ, Troup, with the Rev. Larry McCowin officiating. Services were also held March 8 at North Star Missionary Baptist Church, Tyler, with the Rev. Larry McCowin officiating.

Burial was at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co.

Miss Jones died Feb. 29, 2008 in Lancaster.

She was born Feb. 7, 1991 in Smith County to Richard Lawson and the late Nitalya Tilley. She attended Troup High School and was a member of Mount Rose Baptist Church, Troup, where she served as an usher and was on the volleyball team.

Survivors include her father, Richard Lawson, Troup; brothers, Alex Lawson and Nick Lawson, both of Troup, Danny Jackson and Alfred Jackson, both of Tyler; sister, Shanthai Moseley, Tyler.
