Bobbie J. Miles

JACKSONVILLE - Services for Bobbie J. Miles, 71, of Jacksonville were held March 8 at Mount Heaven CME Church.

Burial was in Larissa Cemetery under direction of Mercy/ McGowan Funeral Home, Jacksonville.

Mrs. Miles died March 4, 2008 at a Tyler hospice.

She was born Feb. 18, 1937 in Cherokee County and was a lifelong resident.

Survivors include her husband, Edgar Miles Sr.; sons, Melvin McDonald, Welton "Victor" McDonald and Edgar Miles Jr.; daughters, Theresa Oriabure, Garland, Rena Castleberry, Jackson, Miss., and Francetta McGowan, Jacksonville; brothers, J.C. Jones Jr., Tyler, and Billy Ray Jones, Troup; sisters, Jo Ann Meador and Linda G. Jones, both of Jacksonville; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
