Two members of the Whitehouse High School yearbook staff have won national awards for photography in the Quill and Scroll 2007 Yearbook Excellence Contest.

Senior Leah Pierce was one of 12 winners nationwide in the Academic Photo Category. She was declared a national winner for two photos, one titled "Flaming Hands" and the other titled "Chemistr y Teacher Helps Student."

Senior Miranda Davis was one of eight winners nationwide in the Feature Photo Category for a photo titled "Surprise, Surprise."

Only photos published in a 2007 high school yearbook were eligible for consideration in the contest.

Both Davis and Pierce served as assistant editors on the 2007 WHS Wildcat yearbook and are editors again this year.

Adviser for the yearbook is Pam Miller.
