Dulcimer lessons offered The Jacksonville Jammers will meet Saturday, March 22, 5:30- 8 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center at 302 S. Bolton St. in Jacksonville. They offer free beginning and intermediate mountain dulcimer lessons. All acoustic instruments are welcome. Casey Rivers in concert Casey Rivers will be in concert Saturday, April 5 at 7 p.m. at WHS auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children under age 10 and are on sale at Tri County Leader, CardSmart and Cavendar's. The concert benefits the Shattered Dreams program at WHS. AARP Tax-Aide available Friday Free tax return preparation service for low and middle income taxpayers, especially those age 60 and over is offered Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Whitehouse YMCA, 301 Terry St. Contact Jim Novy at 903-581-1809 for information. WH Recycle Center Regular hours of operation for the Whitehouse Recycle Center are on Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave. Sports Activities WH Athletic Booster meet The Whitehouse Athletic Booster Club will meet Monday, March 24 at 7 p.m. in the WHS commons area. School Activities Shattered Dreams application deadline The deadline for students to apply for a role in the Shattered Dreams program at WHS has been extended to March 25. Unique in its design and powerful in its impact, Shattered Dreams is an educational experience that reminds us all of the dangers associated with drinking and driving.
