James Lewis Ausborne

James Lewis Ausborne was born May 8, 1925 in Troup to the late Jerry and LaTishe Ausborne. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 13, 2008.

Services were held March 19 at New Generation Baptist Church in Tyler.

Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co., Tyler.

He attended Central High School in Troup. He served in the U.S. Navy. He united in holy matrimony to Billie Nobles and with this union five children were born.

He attended Mary Memorial Church in Troup, at an early age, and later became a member of the New Generation Baptist Church in Tyler. He was employed at Tyler Pipe for more than 30 years before retiring.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Earl Ausborne; brothers, Clyde, Jerry, Sherman, Alvin Ausborne and John Rose; and sisters, Castella Harris and Istaspa Brittan and great-grandchild, Marcus Crockett.

He leaves to mourn his wife of more than 50 years, Billie Ausborne; daughters, Sheron Rollins, Debra (Roy Lee) Brown, Janette (Marcus) Johnson, Alice (David) Spigner and Cassandra Ausborne, all of Tyler; son, Terry (Evelyn) Ausborne; sister, Louella Mayfield; and brother, Winford (Inell) Ausborne; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Cecil Bell, Kenric Hoil, Willie Evans Jr., Durand Lacy, Nikki Lacy, Lineall Overshown and Mack Overshown.
