Boys end year with 2-1 loss to Eagles The Cats played their final game of the season in Lindale Friday night. Whitehouse held the Eagles from scoring until with 13 minutes left in the half, Lindale was able to get a shot off that went upper 90 for the 1-0 lead. The Cats came back in the second half determined to score and that they did when the Eagles fouled a player 30 yards out. Payne Stinchfield got off a quick restart that found Julio Alleman open at the top of the goal. Alleman headed the ball past the Lindale keeper for the score and the 1-1 tie. Needing a win to clinch the district championship, the Eagles came back with several passes and found a good threw ball that got pass the defense for the winning goal. The 2-1 loss ended a frustrating year for the boys team, which was plagued by several injuries throughout the season. In the JV game, Whitehouse won 3-0. |
