Spring Art Show on tap this weekend

As a concluding event of the Tyler Azalea Trails, the 13th Annual Spring Art Show is being presented by the Penny Nichols Sanders School of Fine Art.

Sponsored by the Tyler Chamber of Commerce, the show and sale will be held March 27-29 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. in the reception room and rear patio of the Women's Building, 911 S. Broadway in Tyler. All East Texas residents and visitors are invited to attend and admission is free.

Weather permitting, artists will be demonstrating on the patio. Chances on a painting done by Sanders will be offered as a door prize.

Visitors are encouraged to browse and visit with the artists.

Katie Kelly of Jacksonville will play three selections on the piano Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

This presentation is an effort to produce a display of fine art in various medias and to promote the cultivation of fine art in the East Texas area.
