F.D. "Doug" Barton

HENDERSON - Graveside services for F.D. "Doug" Barton, 91, of Henderson were held March 20 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery under direction of Crawford- Crim-Bryan Funeral Home, Henderson.

Mr. Barton died March 18, 2008 in Overton.

He was born May 14, 1916 in Overton to the late Robert and Naomi Gill Barton. He served in the Army, was a truck driver and worked for Baker Tan for 40 years. He was a Baptist and a member of Rusk County Coon Hunters Association. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Barton in January 1998.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Barbara Barton, Troup; sisters, Venus "Bean" Beck, Corpus Christi, and Annie Ruth "Sis" Arnett, Sherman; half-sister, Gerri Jackson, Dallas; and grandchildren Lindsey Barton, Troup and Brandi Barton, Nacogdoches.
