WH, Troup FFA students ready for shows

In addition to entering her shop project, Troup's Valerie York is in the Cherokee County Queens Contest. Judging for that event will be 2 p.m. Saturday.
Students from Whitehouse and Troup schools will be participating in this week's Smith County and Cherokee County junior livestock shows. The Smith County event is March 27-28 and the Cherokee County show is March 27-29.

The majority of Troup FFA and Troup Young Farmers members will be showing at the Cherokee County Junior Livestock Show. Students from the high school, middle school and elementary have approximately 120 entries.

"We invite everyone to come out and see the hard work and dedication that our students have put in throughout the year. Come show your support at out Auction on Saturday night. The kids would love to see you there," said adviser Renee Williams.

Elementary students listed by project are:

Pigs: Zach Hartman, Dallas Freeman, Brett Martin, Callie Ivy, Caitlyn Vickers, Matthew Terrell, Jordan Parsley, Laramie McCutcheon, Lane Smith, Callie Tosh, Savanna Cox.
