Kyle Ford receives All-State

Head Coach Wally Dawkins has referred to him as "the complete player," and now the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches has given Whitehouse

senior Kyle Ford a spot on the Class 4A All-State team.

Though Whitehouse climbed to No. 3 in the TABC rankings, Ford was the only player from a very talented Wildcat team to receive an All-State or All-Region designation. (See Whitehouse's All-District selections, Page 5B.)

Ford, a 6-5 wing, averaged more than 13 points and five rebounds during the regular season. A three-year starter, he helped the Wildcats finish the season with a 29-2 record.

Their final loss came at the hands of eventual state champion Dallas South Oak Cliff, 53- 49, in the regional semifinals.

Ford earned first team All- District honors last year and led East Texas shooters with 81 three-pointers.
