Troup teams split games with Garrison

The Tigers dropped their second district contest last Thursday as Garrison rallied from a two-run deficit to win 5- 4.

The Bulldogs grabbed a firstinning 2-0 lead, before the Tigers picked up three runs in the fifth to lead 4-2.

Garrison closed the gap to one in the sixth and then pulled away with two runs in the seventh to earn the win.

Austin Braswell went the distance on the mound, striking out five in seven innings and allowing nine hits.

The Tiger batters notched eight hits, with Adam Voigt leading the way with 2 RBIs and a 3- for-4 performance.

The Lady Tigers pulled out a late-inning comeback to even their district record at 4-4.

With the teams tied 0-0 in the seventh, the Lady Tigers capitalized on Lady Bulldog errors in the eighth and final inning to earn an exciting 2-0 victory.

Following Tuesday's games in Arp, the Tigers are home tonight against Waskom. The boys JV plays at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity at 6:30, with the girls varsity at 5 p.m.
