Whitehouse players earn All-District, All-Region nods

Kyle Ford and Kayla Mason were selected to the All- Region boys and girls basketball teams.

Mason earned Defensive Player of the Years honors in District 12-4A earlier this year.

Ford was the lone All-Region nod for the Wildcats, who placed five players on the All- District team, including 5'11 junior point guard Mitch Marquis who picked up MVP honors for his role in the Wildcats' run to the regional semifinals.

Junior Jacob Holmen, 6-8, was named the Defensive Player of the Year.

Joining Ford on the first team was senior Cade Clark, 6'6.

Senior Kody Molloy, 6'7, recieved second team honors, and

Head coach Wally Dawkins also received recognition for guiding his team to a 29-2 season record (14-0 district). Dawkins shares Coach of the Year honors with Steve Kelley of Nacogdoches and Jacksonville's Roynal Bridgeforth.
