Paul Lam
Not only was he a wonderful father, but a successful businessman who, along with his family, established Lam's TV, where he worked until his retirement in 1988. His huge smile greeted everyone he met. Paul was a Master Mason for 50 years. Paul was devoted to God, to his family and to his friends. He had such a passion for life and enjoyed every aspect of it. Two of his favorite things he enjoyed were gardening and giving away his vegetables, and vacationing was always a fun time for him. He was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church, where he participated in John Childs' Sunday School Class. He was a volunteer worker at Green Acres Good Samaritan Outreach Center. Paul is preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Kay Lam; mother, Eula Judy Dubler; stepfather, Homer Dubler; brothers, Billy Lam, Edward Lam Jr. and Walter C. Lam. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; son, John Lam and daughterin law, Martha; daughter, Paula Champion and son-in-law, Gene; four grandchildren, Stephanie Lam Wood, Jennifer Eckles, Justin Champion and Jesica Champion; four great-grandchildren, Emilee and Elisabeth Eckles, Ryan McCrary and Kennedy C. Wood; sister, Christine Lewis of Greely, Colo.; several brothers- and sisters-inlaw; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held April 5 at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Dr. Johnny Beard officiating. Burial followed at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Bill Roberts, Bob Beckley, Horace Taft, H.G. White, Bob Chamness, Ronnie Smiley, Jim Isham and Darrell Wood. Memorials in honor of Paul R.
