Opal Ruth Stanke
Services for Opal Ruth Stanke, 74, of Whitehouse were held April 3 at Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Directors chapel, Tyler, with the Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating.

Burial was in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery. Mrs. Stanke died Marcy 29, 2008 in Tyler.

She was born May 27, 1933 in Nuyaka, Okla., to the late Rev. C.L. and Della Satterfield Robinson. She lived in Tyler since 1990 and was co-owner of Fritz and Opal's Fishing Barge, former manager of Rainbow Duplexes, secretary for Smith County Baptist Association and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Fritz O. Stanke, Whitehouse; daughter, Renee McElroy, Whitehouse; brothers, Ronald Robinson, Tulsa, Okla., and Leslie Robinson, Broken Arrow, Okla.; one grandson; and two great-granddaughters.
