Joyce Studdard Capehart

Services for Mrs. Joyce Studdard Capehart, 82, of Tyler were held April 3 at the Elliott Memorial Chapel at Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Bullard, with Brother Sherman Mayfield officiating.

Burial followed in the Bullard Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Capehart died March 30, 2008 in Arp.

She was born July 31, 1925 in Palestine to Clifford Sam and Wanalotta Evans Studdard. She was a retired secretary, a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Tyler and a former Sunday school teacher of the Joy Class. Mrs. Capehart was preceded in death by her husband, Milton I. Capehart.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Cecilia Hawkins of Arp; her daughter, Vicki Hawkins of Whitehouse; a brother, Martin Studdard of Weatherford; five grandchildren, Roger Hawkins of Palestine, John Hawkins of Allen, Lynette Glennon of Flower Mound, Brian Stinecipher of Columbus, Ohio, and Amy Randall of Daingerfield; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were John Hawkins, Mike Studdard, Don Reel, Les Studdard, Rex Randall and Brian Stinecipher.

Honorary pallbearers were Roger Hawkins, Mike Glennon, Cecil Wyatt, Troy Maynard, Guy Harmon and Dale Thurston.
