Vietnam Vets meet

Keep Whitehouse Beautiful meets

Keep Whitehouse Beautiful will meet Friday, April 18 at 11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall at WH Assembly of God. The public is invited.

Whitehouse All School Reunion

The annual all-school reunion will be held at Cain Elementary, 801 Highway 110 South on Saturday, April 19, from 1 to 4 p.m. All former students and teachers who attended Whitehouse schools are invited. Last year students ranged from the class of 1934 through the class of 1966. Tell your friends and former classmates to join us. Bring refreshments. Book It Buffet

The Book It! Buffet, set for Saturday, April 19, in the Community Room of the Troup Municipal Library will be an evening full of wonderful food, interesting displays, and entertaining bits of history, and surprises. The event is a come-and-go affair from 5:30-8 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults; $5 for children under 12. All proceeds go to support the history of Troup book.

Business Expo set

The Whitehouse Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring their second annual Business Expo on Tuesday, April 22, 5- 8 p.m. to be held at Whitehouse Junior High gym. This year's event will feature the Taste of Whitehouse from area restaurants. For booth sign up contact Sandra at 903-520-4585.

Parkinsonians of East Texas meeting

Parkinsonians of East Texas will meet Thursday, April 24 at 2 p.m. at East Texas Medical Center Pavilion, 801 Clinic Dr., Tyler. The speaker will be Rick Wilbanks, an attorney. His topic will be estate planning. Parking is free for the meeting.

WHS reunion

WHS classes of 1970-1975 are seeking contact information on former classmates. Visit their website at www.classcreator.com/Whitehouse-Tx-1974 to pass along information and see what the plans are for the Sept. 20 reunion.

Whitehouse library activities

WH Recycle Center

Regular hours of operation for the Whitehouse Recycle Center are on Wednesdays from 7-10 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. as well as the first and third Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. Bring your recyclable paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans. The Recycle Center is located on Railroad Ave.

Women's health seminar offered

"Finding Balance" is a seminar on women's health issues begin offered free of charge on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. at Health Plus, 2010 Sybil Ln., Tyler. Facilitator is Brenda Flowers RN.

VFW Post 1799 open daily

VFW Post 1799 on Rhone Quarter Road opens daily at 2:30 p.m. for members and guests. Each day offers a different activity such as competitive pool, karaoke and social hour. For information visit WWW.vfw1799.org or call 903-561-3501.

Car/Truck Show/ Fundraiser

The Youth Department of Faith Mission Church in Bullard will be holding their 4th annual Car/Truck Show/ Fundraiser on Saturday April 19 at 10 a.m. All entry fees are $20. School Activities

Troup FFA dinner set

The 2008 Troup FFA and Troup Young Farmers Buyer Appreciation dinner will be held on April 21 at 6:30. The dinner will be held in the high school cafeteria. Immediately following the buyers' dinner, the group will move to the auditorium for the annual FFA awards presentation in celebration of the students' year long accomplishments and achievements. The new 2008- 2009 FFA Officer team will be introduced.

Whitehouse City Council will meet Tuesday, April 22 at 6 p.m. in the Whitehouse City Council and Court chambers at 311 E. Main.
