John Wesley Ray

KILGORE - Memorial services for John Wesley Ray, 60, of Kilgore were held April 13 at the old family homeplace seven miles south of Kilgore on U.S. Highway 259 at the intersection of F.M. 918. Arrangements were with Rader Funeral Home, Kilgore.

Mr. Ray died April 5, 2008 in Kilgore.

He was born July 10, 1947 in Nacogdoches to the late Tom K. and Irene Frances Ray. He was a 28-year pin holder of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Survivors include his son John Kindley Ray, Galveston; stepchildren Jody Ford, Melodee Lower and Emmalee Lower, all of Troup; brothers, Charles Ray, Kilgore, and Delbert Vaught, Tyler; sister, Rose McFadin, Kilgore; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
