Whitehouse downs Jacksonville, PT
Ladycats trail Hallsville in district standings

The Ladycats demonstrated their offensive might last week, picking up two decisive district wins.

Whitehouse dominated Jacksonville 17-2 on April 8, with Cagen Medlock earning the win. She pitched all five innings, striking out four and walking one. Medlock allowed just three hits and two earned runs.

Five Ladycats finished with two RBIs. Taylor Russell was 2-for-4 with a single and double. Jordan Knight went 2-for-2 with two doubles, a base on balls and a hit by pitch.

Cecily Petree and Emily Costlow both finished 2- for-3, with Costlow recording a single and a double.

On Friday, April 11, the Ladycats traveled to Pine Tree and came away with an 11-1 thrashing of the Lady Pirates. Costlow went the distance, striking out seven, walking three and allowing three hits. She had a zero earned run average.

At the plate, Petree was a perfect 3-for-3 with two singles, a double and three RBIs.

Erica Fuller and Jordan Knight were both 2-for-3; Fuller had two singles and a walk, and Knight finished with a single, double and three RBIs.

Megan Brady was 2-for4 (single, double, two RBIs), while Chelsey Boulware went 3-for-4.

The two wins moved Whitehouse to 15-6 for the season and 10-2 in district, where they are second behind the 12-0 Lady Bobcats.

The Ladycats host Henderson this Friday and will have pregame senior night ceremonies at 5:45 p.m.
