Tigers drop district game

Troup's district record slipped to 7-4 after a 3-1 loss to Elysian Fields last Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets claimed an early 1-0 lead before the Tiges tied the game 1-all in the fifth inning.

Elysian Fields added two more runs in the sixth to seal the win.

Adam Voigt was on the mound for the Tigers, striking out three.

The Tigers outhit Elysian Fields five to four, but couldn't pull out the win.

At the plate, Voigt was 1-for- 4 with a double. Ryan Nichols finished 1-for-3.

Catcher Cody Deese finished 2-for-4 with a double and a single RBI.

Next up for the Tigers are home games with Garrison and Arp on April 18 and April 25.
