Annual tractor show, pull set April 18-19

Seasoned engines will be purring Friday and Saturday, April 18- 19 in Henderson as the East Texas Antique Tractor and Engine Association gears up for their annual tractor show.

If you like mechanical things, these tractors and engines have an all together different sound than the tractors have nowadays.

East Texas can check out the vehicles at the Rusk Co. Youth Expo Center, one mile west of Henderson, on Hwy 13; watch for signs. For more information contact Tractor and Engine Association president Rudy Snow at (903) 693-6315.

The public can expect to see different kinds of tractors like John Deere, Farmall, Allis Chambers, Case, and Fords - all restored. The displays of farm tractors and antique gas powered stationary engines are sure to impress even the mechanically challenged.

Along with additional displays and tractor games, there will be a silent auction, tractor pull and a kiddie (peddle tractor) pull to see which one can pull the sled the furthest.

Trophies will be given to the Oldest Tractor, Fartherest Traveled, People's Choice of the best tractor and engine display.
