Tigers clinch playoff spot
      Troup clinched a playoff berth Friday as the Tigers rallied to beat Garrison, 2-1. The Tigers were in third place going into the Garrison contest, with rival Arp challenging for the third-place spot if the Tigers lost their last two games.

Whitehouse dominates All-District
      Brittany Millican earned co-Defensive MVP honors on the 17-4A All-District girls soccer team. Eight other Ladycats also received All-District recognition, including first-team forwards Heather Lofties and Lindsay Pritchard, defender Kayla Mason and midfielders Elissa Parker and Kelli Hill.

Ford signs with Nicholls State

Ladycat basketball camp now taking registration
      The Whitehouse Ladycat Basketball Camp will be June 2- 6 at Whitehouse High School from 8:30 a.m. to noon daily. Girls entering grades one through nine will be eligible to attend and will be grouped according to age and ability.

Ladycat golfers take 3rd at district
      Led by junior Tyler McDaniel, the Whitehouse girls completed their season last Monday with their best performance of the year. McDaniel fired rounds of 103 and 99 (202) to finish eighth in District 12-4A individual rankings, narrowly missing a trip to regionals.

      A small contingency of Troup students competed in the Smith County Junior Livestock Show. Troup results were: Swine - Dallas Freeman, reserve grand champion; Chance Steele, first place; Josh Wavrusa, third place. Rabbits - Steele, sixth place. Home Economics - Emily Renfroe, third place.
