The Whitehouse Community Library is holding its Second Great Big Book Sale on April 24-26. The Preview Night will be Thursday from 6-9 p.m.
In order to attend Preview Night, you must buy a $5 ticket. Tickets are available at the library. You may make reservations and then pay for the tickets at the door by calling the library.
The purchase of a Preview Night ticket will allow library guests to enjoy hors d'oeuvres while shopping at the sale. But the best part of Preview Night is the chance to have first choice to purchase the books.
In addition to books, the sale also includes videocassettes, audiotapes, and other "stuff." All kinds of books and sets of books for young and old will also be available.
Books will again be sold this year for $1 an inch. What this means is that books are stacked flat and the height is measured. If your books stack up higher than an inch then the price is rounded up to the next dollar.
"We encourage shoppers to add another book so they receive full value for their money," said library director Sandra Knackstedt.
