Halbert, Davis marry

Mrs. Patrick Davis
Jennifer Lynne Halbert and Patrick Flynn Davis were married April 12 in a garden ceremony at the Tyler Woman's Building with the Rev. David Mahfood of Tyland Baptist Church officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Steve Halbert of Mineola and Reta Lynne Spradlin of Tyler. She is a graduate of Troup High School, Tyler Junior College nursing program, and is employed by Trinity Mother Frances Hospital as an RN in the operating room.

The bride is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Reta J. Spradlin of Tyler and the late Leslie O. Spradlin. Mrs. Spradlin was escorted by the bride's Uncle Leslie E. "Bud" Spradlin of Dallas. The bride is also the granddaughter of paternal grandparents Bob Halbert of Tyler and the late Patricia Halbert.

The groom, son of Pat and Sandra Davis of Troup, is a graduate of Troup High School, Texas A&M University at Commerce, and is a coach/ trainer.

The groom is the grandson of Mrs. Nadine Davis- Williamson, the late Grover Davis and the late Alvin and Delois Kelley, all of Troup.

Jenny Loggins of Houston served as the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Heidi Peyton of Dallas, Stephanie Tomlin of Whitehouse, Barbie Johnston and Amanda Soape, both of Tyler.

Best man was Derrick Mitchum of Tyler. Tyler Dunn of Dallas, Brandon Tillman of Troup, Michael Soape and Chris Dunham of Tyler served as groomsmen.

Ushers for the wedding were the groom's brothers Chris and Michael Davis of Troup and the bride's brothers Golden Halbert of Plano and Pat Halbert of Mineola.

Ring bearers were Demontrae and Deonna Wade of Arp, cousins of the groom. Flower girl was Aubrey Elizabeth Halvert of Troup, escorted by Robert Halbert of Mineola.

The bride wore a white satin ball gown with beaded lace back button detail and cut-out lace appliqués in the cathedral train. She carried an engraved handkerchief of her grandfather "D.A.," and she wore her grandmother's bracelet and there was a memorial vase containing confetti colored roses in memory of the bride and grooms' grandparents and the bride's cousin Eric Scott Spradlin.

White garden chairs in the floral garden were adorned with azalea colored bows containing dainty white floral centers made by the bride's grandmother. The bridge was draped in white and azalea colored netting that flowed gently in the breeze.

The reception was held inside the Woman's Building. Decorations included tulip centerpieces as well as antique tea cup and saucer centerpieces and votive candles. The bride's cake was a five-tier cake decorated with real daisies, pink roses and other spring flowers. The groom's cake was a beautiful three-tiered chocolate cake topped with grapes and strawberries.

The couple will make their home in Tyler.
