Restaurant gives funds to acting troupe

Lonestar Pizza and Burgers is donating a percentage of its profits to a young acting group from the Tyler Civic Theatre Center.

A percentage of meals sold on from 5-9 p.m. on May 19-20 will go to the 2009 U.K. Troupe. This is a group of 25 young people, including some from Whitehouse, who will present The Mark Twain Show in London and Edinburgh during August 2009.

Lonestar Pizza and Burgers is just east of "Troup and the Loop."

The owner, Steve McDonald, has played at Tyler Civic Theatre Center in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Rip Van Winkle's Sleepy Hollow.
