Troup issues boil water notice Tuesday

Due to a temporary drop in system pressure on Tuesday, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Troup public water system to notify customers in the affected areas to boil their water prior to consumption.

As of press time, tests were not back on the safety of the water for consumption. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the water system officials will notify the public.
