Luetta "Red" Ervin Bowie
Services for Luetta "Red" Ervin Bowie, 81, of Whitehouse were held April 28 at Antioch Baptist Church of Whitehouse with the Revs. Charles King and Shelton Oliver officiating.

Burial was in Antioch Cemeter y, Whitehouse, under direction of Brooks-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mrs. Bowie died April 24, 2008 in Tyler.

She was born June 20, 1926 in Whitehouse to the late Leon and Tennessee Robinson Ervin and was a lifelong resident of Smith County. She attended Stanton High School, was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lanchester Bowie Sr.

Survivors include son, Lanchester Bowie Jr., Tyler; brothers, S.T. "Peter" Ervin, Fort Worth, Robbie "Bob" Gene Ervin and Roger Ervin, both of Whitehouse; sisters, Leona Hudson, Bullard, and Hazel Dorsey, Whitehouse; and three grandchildren.
