Bernice Perry
Services for Bernice Perry, 82, of Tyler were held April 26 at North Star Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor D.J. Nelson officiating.

Burial was in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.

Mrs. Perry died April 22, 2008 in a Tyler hospital.

She was born May 19, 1925 in Whitehouse and was a lifelong resident of Smith County. She attended Whitehouse public schools and retired as an inspector for Tyler Pipe Industries. She was a member of North Star Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by daughter, Almeta Gaines.

Survivors include her husband, Fred H. Perry, Tyler; sons, James Gaines, Horace Perry and Fred D. Perry, all of Tyler; daughters, Ruby McCann and Rosie Bell, both of Tyler, and Linda Perry Stimpson, Arlington; 17 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

If desired, memorials may be made to Hospice of East Texas; or University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler.
