Genevieve Tamerius

Genevieve Tamerius, 83, of Fargo, N.D., formerly of Lynchburg, N.D., died on April 26, 2008 at ManorCare Health Services, Fargo. Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Casselton. Burial will be at St. Leo's Cemetery.

She is survived bysix children, including daughter Jane and husband Don Walston of Troup; one sister; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 19 step-greatgrandchildren; two step-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Genevieve Catherine Rode was born on Feb. 13, 1925 at Casselton, N.D., to Frederick and Rosa (Seiwert) Rode, the youngest of three children. On Nov. 10, 1947 she married Luvern Tamerius at St. Leo's Catholic Church in Casselton. They lived in Amenia, N.D., before moving in 1948 to Durbin, N.D., where they farmed. In 2003, she moved to the Evergreens in Fargo and entered ManorCare in 2007.

She was preceded in death by her husband in October 1992, her parents and a brother, Felix Rode.

Visitation is scheduled 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, with rosary at 6:30 and prayer at 7, at the West Funeral Home, Casselton.
