Rose Lilly Mitchell-Stevenson

Services for Rose Lilly Mitchell-Stevenson, 85, of Houston, formerly of Tyler, were held April 26 at Mary Memorial Church of God in Christ with Superintendent Milton Timmons officiating.

Burial was in Community Cemetery, Troup, under direction of Brooks-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler.

Mrs. Stevenson died April 17, 2008 in Houston.

She was born March 1, 1923 in Houston to the late George and Vicie Woodard Mitchell. She attended Central High School and was a member of Jordan Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include son, Samuel Lacy, Houston; daughters, Turea Brown, Hearne, Yvonne Clayton, Houston, and Zeffie Robinson, Tyler; sisters, Katie Brown, Troup, and Eloise Jackson, Houston; and four grandchildren.
