Morris E. "Buddy" Bass

Services with military honors for Morris E. "Buddy" Bass, 68, of Troup were held May 3 at Henry's Chapel United Methodist Church near Troup with the Rev. David Goodwin officiating under direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.

Mr. Bass died April 30, 2008 at his residence.

He was born Feb. 29, 1940 in Dallas to the late Harold and Alice Florence Bass. He graduated in 1956 from South Oak Cliff High School in Dallas and attended North East Texas College and East Texas State University. He was a longtime resident of Dallas and moved to Troup in 1990. He worked for Texas Instruments and Dravo Mining.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Byron and Becky Bass, Troup, and Brad and Sandie Bass, Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Micheal McLellan, Eugene, Oregon; a brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Pat Bass, Keller; two grandchildren, Hunter Bass and Jordan Bass; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
