Harry T. Touchy

Memorial services for Harry T. Touchy, 85, of Troup were held June 16 at Elliott Memorial Chapel, Boren-Conner Funeral Home, Bullard, with the Rev. Lynne White officiating.

Burial will be in Bullard Memorial Cemetery at a later date.

Mr. Touchy died June 12, 2008 in a Tyler hospital.

He was born Aug. 3, 1922 in Galveston to the late Frank and Laura May Touchy. He served in the Army and lived in Dickinson prior to moving to Troup in the early 1970s. He was an electrician, an Episcopalian and retired from International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a member of Local Union 1151 of Tyler, IBEW and National Electrical Benefit Fund. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joicie Touchy.

Survivors include sons, Tommy Lee Friday, Chattanooga, Tenn., and Frank Earl Touchy Sr., Troup; daughter, Patricia Gail Money, Pilot Point; sisters, Earline Warren, Galveston, and Joyce Williams, Palestine; six grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
