WH tops Van, falls to Lee

The Ladycat varsity volleyball team carried a spotless record with them last Tuesday to a dual match with Van and Tyler Lee. In the match with Van, the Ladycats rolled to a straight set victory, 25-20, 25- 16, and 25-21.

Christine Ford led the way with 14 points including 10 kills at the net. She was followed by Mallory Smith with 12 points and Stephanie Alexander with 12 points including five kills.

Middle blocker, Sadie Hilburn contributed 10 points including six kills, while Sarah Stanley added 11 points in addition to 14 assists.

However, the spotless record received its first blemish in the second match as Lee took a four-set win by scores of 4- 25, 23-25, 25- 23, and 22-25.

Ford and Abigail Crawford led the charge at the net with eight kills each, while Hilburn added seven.

Stanley orchestrated the offensive attack with 15 assists while Ford had 13 assists.
