Living Out Loud
Suzanne Loudamy "Wake the neighbors! Get the word out! Come on, crank up the music, climb a mountain and shout! This is life we've been given, made to be lived out … so live out loud."

John Moore called this week and wanted to make sure that I gave a big pat on the back to the Whitehouse Volunteer Fire Department and specifically the guys who came to his house last week. Luckily, it was a false alarm, but the alarm system indicated more than that. John said the guys were very thorough in checking everything out and quick with their response time. "It was important to me and my family to know that someone was there for us."
It's not often that people take the time to point out when things are done
right, so it's good to hear from someone who does notice. Special thanks go to Lt. Brant Prestridge and firefighters Scott Beu and Steven Byrd for doing a great job.

The "I Will Walk" guys have reached their destination of Springfield, Missouri. Mikey says the experience has been incredible and worth every step, every blister and every drop of sweat shed. They will be back home in Whitehouse soon, just in time to wash clothes, take a nap and head off to youth camp. Check out their website at www.iwillwalk.org to read the blog, photos, video and to donate. Via con Dios guys!

Make time to come and check out the beautiful quilts on display this weekend, July 4-5, at Aunt Lillie's in Troup. It just might inspire you to pick up the craft yourself!

Have a safe and happy July 4th weekend. Fly the flag, celebrate your freedom, eat a hot dog and, above all, if you choose to drink, stay off the lake and off the road.
