Carter BloodCare officials are concerned that blood donations are down this year and the blood supply is running low.

The following locations in the local Smith County area have stepped up to sponsor community blood drives. Please contact the location of your choice , to schedule your appointment and to learn more about the event. Donors will also receive a free donor T-shirt.

July 13 -- Brookshires in Troup, 10 a.m. to 1 pm. Drawing for $50 Brookshires Gift card.

July 13 -- Texas Roadhouse in Tyler 4-8 p.m. $5 Gift Card to each donor. Drawing for $25 Gift Card

July 18 -- McAlister's Deli, 4325 Old Bullard inTyler, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free tea and cookies

July 24 -- Walmart on Troup Hwy., Tyler, 1-5 p.m. Drawing for $50 Walmart Gift Card

July 29 -- Brookshires, Hwy. 110 in Whitehouse, 2- 7 p.m.

July 31 -- 213 N. Hwy. 69, Bullard, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
