Troup council meets tonight
The Troup City Council will hold a special meeting tonight at 6:30 in the Troup ISD Administration Building.
Among the agenda items is an executive session to discuss the possible appointment of an interim city administrator and prospective candidates.
Current City Administrator Russ Obar announced at the last regular meeting of the council that he planned to retire at the end of July.
Also on the agenda, is the consideration of an ordinance for the issuance of a $1,464,000 general obligation refunding bond.
Council will also: -- hear a request from the property owners at 608 W. Paschal for a re-plat of their property. The re-plat would combine Lot 9 and an unnumbered lot of Block 1 of the West Forrest Addition into Lot 9A Block 1, thereby creating a parcel approximately 100'x123'.
-- consider acceptance of the Major Holloway subdivision. This item was tabled from the June 23 regular meeting with council seeking further information.
-- administer the oath of office to councilpersons as needed.
