Hill earns Eagle Scout rank
Whitehouse sophomore Perr y Hill enjoyed his Eagle Scout Court of Honor on Sunday, June 28 at Whitehouse United Methodist Church.
His Eagle Scout project was building a prayer garden at WUMC.
Perry, 15, started scouting as a Tiger Cub while living in The Woodlands. He moved to Albuquerque, N.M., where he completed Cub Scouts.
He received the Arrow of Light and Heavy Shoulder awards.
Perry moved up to Boy Scouts in 2005. After moving to Whitehouse that year, he joined Troop 359 at WUMC.
P e r r y has earned 31 merit badges and is a member of Order of the Arrow. He has had several leadership positions in the troop, including Senior Patrol Leader.
Perry's other activities include marching band and drumline at Whitehouse High School.
He is active in the youth group at Mar vin United Methodist Church and also volunteers for the East Texas Food Bank.
He is the son of Tony and Linda Hill.
