Whitehouse parade set Dec. 5
      The Whitehouse Christmas Parade is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5 at 10 a.m. It is sponsored by the Greater Whitehouse Area Chamber of Commerce. To participate, contact Brent Conaway at 903- 839- 3939. That same day the Whitehouse YesterYear organization hosts Kris Kringle from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in city park.

Rix completes basic military training
      Air Force Airman Matthew S. Rix graduated from basic militar y training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Rix completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.

Band boosters to open Christmas tree lot Friday
      The Whitehouse Band Boosters are opening a Christmas Tree Lot on Friday, Nov. 27. The tree lot is the major fund-raiser of the band boosters. The tree lot will be on FM 346 next to Brown Elementary. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 5-9 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-9 p.m.
