YesterYear continues Saturday

The pomp and pageantry of the first weekend of YesterYear was a success and now attention turns to the fun events planned for this Saturday in Whitehouse City Park.

Vendor booths will set up at 8 a.m. for early crowds waiting for the 10 a.m. parade start. The annual favorite will follow a new route this year; it will begin at the high school and head west toward City Park, turning right at the 346 and Bascom Road intersection. The Masonic Lodge will be set up and serving refreshments in the fire department building.

Following the parade, a lineup of live music is planned throughout the day, with a band sponsored by the Whitehouse Chamber of Commerce taking the stage at 5 p.m. The chamber is also presenting a fireworks show at dusk that will cap this year’s festival in spectacular fashion.
