The Texas Thunder, a 13U select baseball team based out of Whitehouse, recently won the Deep East Texas Baseball Association’s Spring World Series held in Marshall on June 12-13. The #5 seeded Thunder won three games on Championship Sunday. In dominating fashion, they outscored opponents 39-8. The Thunder defeated the #4 seed Gilmer Express, 13-5; the #1 seed Paris Heat, 16-3; and the #7 seed New Boston Lions in the title game, 10-0.
