Gilbert leads Wildcats

Whitehouse placed fifth in the team standings at the Marshall Challenge Tournament at Cypress Hills in Marshall Feb. 23-24.

The Wildcats scored 657 points as a team.

Cody Gilbert led the squad with a 79-80--159 for 36 holes. Reed Bedard carded an 82-82—164 for the tournament, and Jordan Hilburn recorded an 83-84—167. Trent Tatom fired a 90- 77—167, and Travis Carter scored a 93-94—187.

Grapevine won the team standings with a 319-314—633 team total. Following Grapevine were Hebron, 315- 323—638; Texas High, 320-318—638; Pine Tree, 319-323—642; Whitehouse, 334-323—657; Liberty Christian, 342- 324—666; Nacogdoches, 339-329—668; Longview, 339-333—672; Linden Kildare, 427-404—831; Marshall ISD, 446- 419—865; and New Boston, 452-WD— WD.
